The Knockout - It's Like A San Luis Obispo Area Reunion

This Monday (the 7th of December) we're playing a show at The Knockout and it's like a crazy San Luis reunion. The show starts at 8ish and it's $5. Now I know that San Luis is most famous for The Madonna Inn and maybe as the college town of Weird Al, John Madden and maybe even Ozzie Smith, but it was also home to lots of cool people that quickly left as soon as they got old enough.

The line-up should go as follows:

Bob and Carver will be playing records before the bands and maybe between bands and after. Now I know that Bob is not from San Luis but he did go to Cal Poly and I believe the same goes for Carver.

We're the first band and we also have the only member who really has no connection to the Central Coast (Brandt lived there in his van for a couple weeks but quickly moved), but both Jeremy and I have the distinction have having grown up there and attending San Luis Obispo High Shool.

Bad Assets is playing second and they currently reside in the area and I'm pretty sure that Joe and John Mac grew up in the Arroyo Grande area because my Suckerpunch 10" and split 8" flexi both say so.

Grand Lake plays last and I think that all three members grew up in the area. I know that Caleb and Jameson both did because I recall having seen them both play a show in the back room at Spike's when they were in a band called The Bloody Heads.

So come join our reunion show. I'm not going to promise fun but I'll bet on it.

BrainWash

Come out on Saturday (the 21st) to BrainWash (South of Market at 1122 Folsom between 7th and 8th). We're playing with Domestic Electrics, show starts at 8PM, it's free, we're playing first.

Just a reminder, punk time is now on time. I think it's because it got to the point where everyone was running on punk time and it just wasn't punk any more so the punx started doing everything on time and not even on purpose, it just sort of happened. Anyway, hope you can make it.

El Rio

A week from today (Monday the 16th) we are playing at El Rio, down on Mission just past Cesar Chavez (that would be just south of Cesar Chavez but before you get to El Zocalo)

I could promise a bunch of things but they would mostly be lies so I'll say that I think the asking price is a $5 donation at the door, we will most likely play second with Big, Round playing first and Rad Cloud playing after us. It should be the last San Francisco show for Rad Cloud for a while so you should see them.

El Rio has $1 PBR and $2 well drinks all night on Mondays so you should come out just for that (and for the fact that they have Table Shuffleboard, though I've never seen anyone playing it).

The Cruz

I'm not talking about the wonderful movie of the same name but us playing a show in Santa Cruz two weeks from today.

It's on Friday November 6th at Coaster's which is the bar that is attached to the bowling alley down by the boardwalk. From what I can tell, the show is at 9PM and it's free (I think). We're playing with Kicked In and Intergalactic Smugglers

We plan on getting there early and bowling. Unfortunately it's the time of year that rides are only open on Saturday and Sunday so I am once again thwarted in my attempt to ride the Giant Dipper, which I haven't done in a couple of years and the virtual ride just isn't the same.
